Chapter 32
The Preacher's Wife!
I'm really trying to be patient but it is so hard when one minute the bus driver is driving so fast that it's scary and now he is driving so slowly like nobody has anywhere to go.
As im sitting here I can see out the window that we are passing a restaurant, which the thought of eating turns my stomach because of the up and down motion of the bus....hitting bump after bump, But anyway out side of the restaurant I noticed a woman and a man, they really got my attention as they was coming out, behind them was a group of people that was headed to a church bus. The man and woman was headed to a fancy car and before they got in the man leaned over to kiss his wife but she kind of jumped back like he scared her or something. At first I thought something was about to happen, I can just feel it when I look at them. At that moment when they got in the car i saw her eye's saying, “I have to get away from him before one of us regrets it.
I know that I am the pastors wife buthow much more of this am i suppose to take, he dose not respect me and anything that I have to say or do when we are out in public he acts like he is so into me, like he’s the perfect gentleman he can do no wrong at least in his eye's, like he's just this loving wonderful person. When we are behind closed he is a totally different person. My mom told me that she felt like he was no good but when we first married he was a good man and I felt like a princess, God why do he keep putting his hands on me? He didn't start acting like this until i lost the baby last year, whhat in the world am I going to do....do i just leave him?”
At that point they pulled off and I could see the fire in his eyes. I don't know if he was embarrassed or more hurt after his wife didn't except his kiss.
The Many faces on the Bus
This book is about judgment and the many faces it holds. Let’s just call it the reality check. Have you ever looked at somebody and completely dissected their life, I mean not only looking at them, but the way you look at them, you didn’t have to say a word. You are judging them for what they are wearing and just simply for what they look like. Have you caught somebody looking at you and wondered what they were thinking? Maybe it was not one of your best days and just like that, that one look made you feel unsure about yourself. See it really wasn’t you; it was that person judging you without even saying a word.
See, I’m the narrator in this book, riding the bus with a group of people on the city bus. Each character has something about them that stands out. I sit back and tell their silent stories as if I could see what they are going through. Not all are tragic; in fact some are uplifting. The many struggles and pain is what people may misconceive. I think this book will begin the healing process in some, and the learning process in others. They will begin to see their own faults and go on from there. Some people are so unhappy with their life they self-consciously put the focus on others to avoid their own problems. Honey, you’re only setting your self up for failure.
Part of this book is about some of my pains and struggles dealing with judgment.I am a pubished Author, my first book The Many Faces on the Bus:A fascinating book of short stories.
,.....................................................................................................................................................................
I wrote this book for a few reasons and one reason is to shed light on how judging others can affect a person/people in a negative way and we have judged others just based on what they may or may not have, what they are wearing and just basically the way they look, but have you considerd how that person my have gotten that way and why they are the way they are. We as people, as humans don't take the time to see the pain, hurt, struggle, fear, shame that people are feeling and dealing. In my book I talk about my pains and struggles and how rape made me a mother not once but twice at a young age, how being homeless caused my to be depressed and wanting to give up.I wrote the book in a unique way so the you can see it with an open mind.I took my story and made it belong to other characters so that you may have a real sence of understanding and that it could be somebody you know or even yourself,I also did it for entertainment puposes. This book will inspire you to think of others including your self.
